Advantages of an R.E. Thomas self-aligning shaft seal:

- No stainless rotor to slip on the shaft and cause flooding.
- No carbon stator (sealing face) to crack and cause flooding.
- No cheap nylon hose fitting to snap or break off and cause flooding.
