Traditional rudder ports require frequent adjustment of the packing nut and are prone to cracking after only a few years of use. These issues can be compounded after an engine repower when even more stress is exerted on the rudder’s hardware. Our PK Series of “gland style” rudder ports help reduce these concerns by redesigning the packing gland system and casting a more robust housing.

Our PK and RPG Series rudder ports (rudder stuffing boxes) are engineered specifically for today’s higher horsepower commercial and recreational boats.
They feature a robust housing machined from cast bronze and also have an improved gland sealing system that greatly reduces the time spent on maintenance and adjustment.
